Before and After

Organizing. It's my favorite thing. I love moving because it gives me a chance to start all over... clean everything out and give it a new place. It's time for spring cleaning and I took on our dreaded filing cabinet. We bought ours a couple years ago and already both handles broke off. If any of you watch Studio 5 in the mornings, they gave me the inspiration. I love that show.
Here is the before....ugh

And After...

Color coded and everything!

One thing I hate...

If there is one thing I hate more than anything in this world, it would be Getting Scammed! I hate that people can be so cold, so chalice, so manipulative to just lie right to your face. It boggles my mind that there are really these type of people out there, preying on honest people. This morning my mom called me because a fax came to her work, talking about affordable health insurance- even for pre-existing conditions.
background...Recently we have been trying to get health insurance for Tate, but have been denied because he has a Heart Murmur. No one will cover us and its been so frustrating. We've looked into all the state programs, but don't qualify.
So I called the number my mom gave me. Now, I'm not stupid, I think I'm pretty good at spotting when something is "too good to be true". But this man would not let up, he went on and on about how great the coverage was. In the beginning I told him I would like an email or letter about the plan. He kept saying wait until I explain it. So after he explained it, he said, "I just need your credit card number to get it started for you." I immediately explained that I'm not giving my credit card number to anyone, unless I get paperwork about the plan. He kept going on and on until I finally just hung up.
Even though I didn't fall for it, I know there are people out there that would. This man was just waiting for someone to call, someone that is just looking to help their family survive, and he is just willing to take their money. THE NERVE!

A week of FIRSTS

There is a first time for everything. And this week we have experienced a lot

(15 lb 8 oz, 25 1/2 in)

1. At Tate's 4 month appointment the doctor told us he can start eating food! So we tied him on Rice Cereal for the first time. I don't think he's been able to eat a whole lot of it, or even any of it

2. I put Tate in a shopping cart for the first time with out his car seat.

3. Mike took me Snowboarding for the first time. He got me a snowboard the first Christmas we were married and I finally got to use it. However, I'm not sure it's going to be used anymore... I was on my butt pretty much the entire day. On the hard hills I literally sat on my butt with the board in front of me and just slid down the hill.

4. Mike and I got deathly ill on Cafe Rio for the first time. We had it Saturday night and left it in the car for a couple hours while we went to IKEA and I guess that's a bad idea. We ate it after Church on Sunday and by 2:00 am the next morning Mike was up puking his guts out. He didn't stop throwing up until 6 am... and that's when it finally hit me. But luckily I only threw up once. It reminded me so much of being pregnant and I'm sort of glad Mike got a chance to experience that.

5. I passed out for the first time! From being so sick and not eating anything I actually fainted in the shower...So scary!

6. I hit a car for the first time while waiting in line in a drive thru. Not bad, but I just took my foot off the break while reaching around to find Tate's Binky and felt a big thud. I felt like an IDIOT

And that's our week in a nutshell!
