What happened to my calm baby!

Yes, usually I have it pretty easy. Tate will sleep pretty good during the night, only waking up maybe once. But I'm afraid we've taught him how to CRY. Up until last week he just slept in the bassinet in our room. When he would wake up to eat he'd only whimper, but now that he is in his own room, I can only here him on the monitor when he starts to cry. Now the past couple days he will cry and cry and cry about anything. I hope this won't last long! But regardless he is still SO cute even when he is crying. Sometimes i just can't help but laugh at him. Usually when i hear babies cry, its so annoying, but for some reason he just gets cuter (unless of course I'm trying to sleep).

But on another note...Finally Christmas is almost here! This is my favorite time of the whole year, I love the Lights, the Snow, the MUSIC, and spending time with family. And this year is even better since I don't have to work. We have all our Christmas shopping done, which is a big relief, and even wrapped! Go us! I haven't posted for a couple weeks, so i have many pics to show off.
My good friend Teri and I got together for lunch last week while she was in Town. She is almost 8 months pregnant--- and doesn't even look it. I'm so jealous. She's having a boy, so we are already planning on Tate and him being best friends growing up.

Tate Can hold his head up really really well! We put him on this pillow and give him a little "tummy time" for him to practice.

He looks a little scared to be with Megan..

Last week we celebrated my Grandpa's 75th birthday. My Grandpa is the coolest... really... he is the epitome of cool. He reminds me of James Bond (just a bit older). And my siblings say he is a White Morgan Freeman.
I have had a lot of free time on my hands since being home with Tate. Here are just random pictures he has this vibrating seat, but he always slides down because of the vibrations---we found him like this....His hat kept falling down in front of his eyes.

Tate always sleeps with his arms up by his head---i think he gets this from Mike

On Sunday we had an Early Thanksgiving Dinner at Grandmas and Grandpas. We tried to take a picture with all the Grandkids, But couldn't get everyone to look at the camera at the same time.

Here we go again

This past week has been one of the greatest weeks of my life, Not just because we have a new little boy... but i no longer have to be pregnant! The past 9 months have been so hard, and I finally feel like i can move around again. Everyday I tell Mike new reasons why i love not being pregnant. Some are:

1. I get more sleep with a baby here then I did the last couple months because i don't have to get up to go to the bathroom every 1/2 hour.
2. I no longer have to sleep with a 10 pillows on the bed just to get comfortable- and i can sleep on my back! woo hoo!
3. I can breath
4. I can now reach my feet to wash them in the shower
5. My wardrobe just got a lot bigger (I can now fit into more then one pair of pants)

On Saturday Morning we got Tate's newborn pictures taken. It was so hard! We got there at 10:00 am and didn't leave until 1:30. He had to be completely naked the whole time, which he hated... and was pooing and peeing all over me and Mike. The poor kid. It was exhausting! I just hope the pictures turn out good.
On Friday my friend Corbin and his wife Ali came over to visit. They just had a little girl about 3 weeks ago: look how cute the future couple are going to be. She kept trying to eat his hand when we were taking pictures

Also, Mike's Mom and step dad came down from Idaho yesterday to see Tate for the first time.

Addition to our Family

Yes, He is finally here! Tate Bradley Kitterman was born on Saturday November 1st, at 11:31 pm. Weighing 7 lbs 5 oz and 21.5 inches long, and absolutely ADORABLE. I can't get over how cute this little boy is!!! It's so weird to think he is all our's, and totally dependent on us.

I started having some pain in my back on Friday but didn't think anything about it, then they started coming more frequent and I realized these might be contractions (so different from what i thought they would feel like because they were all in my lower back.) I was up all night Friday counting them. They tapered off about 6:00 am on saturday morning. Mike had to go help his sister move and I went to have lunch with some friends at the Gateway. They came back while we were shopping, Mike came to pick me up and we just thought we would go to the hospital to see if it was the real thing. We got there at 5:00 pm and told the nurse "we wouldn't be offended if you sent us home" because when we got there i wasn't feeling the pain as consistantly as before. She checked me and i was dilated to a 5! It was really happening, and it scared the crap out of us! An hour later the Dr checked me and I was at a 7 or 8.

I was expecting to be in labor for a long time since this was our first baby, and my mom was in labor for 20hrs with her first. But the nurse said that I should have the baby that same night, And she was right! 40 mins of pushing and he was born. I still can't believe how easy i had it, (of course I had the epidural) but I hope all our kids come this fast.
This whole experience has been very humbling and has made me appreciate Mike so much. He is such a great new dad and I love learning how to be parents together. This is such an exciting time of our lives!

Movin' on Up!

Mike got a new job!!! He just started this week, and already he loves it. Not only does it mean no more odd overtime hours, and using his own gas to get to various jobs all over, but now I don't have to wash his VERY DIRTY WORK CLOTHES anymore!!!
So if you haven't heard yet, we are trying to sell our condo. We have only been there a year now, and have liked it, but we really need to get out before the baby comes, to save money! So please please please tell anyone. Here is a picture of our lovely home...

I Blame You

Before I got pregnant, no one ever explained the horrific, disgusting, nasty couple of months you have to go through in the beginning. Now that it's happening to me, that's all I hear! Why couldn't you have dropped me a hint before? So for that, I blame everyone that is reading this post, and who failed to mention this little fact. It would have been nice to know before I decided to grow something inside me! So now I feel i have a responsibility to warn all women that have yet to conceive. Take my word for it, it might be worth it in the end, but just beware... you go through Hell to get there.
But all negativity aside...I really am grateful for this exciting time in our lives, where we are becoming parents for the first time! I am now 4 months pregnant, and everyone says it should start getting better from now on. And I'll admit, it is getting better daily. We find out the sex in 3 weeks. Any guesses? Boy or girl?

It's Here!!!!

Daylight savings time is finally here. This might sound stupid, but its one of my favorites days of the year. In the winter, when i get home from work it's always dark outside. I feel like i missed the whole day. I go to work and it's dark, and i come home from work it's dark. But now... our days are longer. Yesterday was so beautiful! I love the spring!!!

Grandma Reva Killpack

Last week Mike's Grandma Killpack passed away, She was 93 years old, born in 1915. We went to her funeral on Saturday and it was so intersting to hear about her whole life. How neat it would be to look back on 93 years of life, seeing your family grow & the world around you evolve. It's funny how we get so stressed about the little things, but none of it really matters. When I look back on my life, all i want to remember is being happy. And I hope my good times overpower my bad. Looking around the chapel, I was thinking that this one women's life affected so many. She had 79 Great Grandchildren and starting to get a couple Great Great Grandkids. Her husband died about 25 years ago, so Mike's family was happy that she finally got to see him again. It seems like such a long time to live without your companion. I couldn't imagine! If Mike dies before I do, i hope i go quickly after!

Our DisneyLand Trip

This is at the Rainforest cafe in Downtown Disney. We didn't actually eat there because it was a little too pricey... ha ha, But we thought the aquarium was pretty cool.

Snowhite was talking to the incredibles. I thought their costumes were so cool! Mike and i want to be them for Halloween this year.

We went to the Cheesecase Factory for dinner while we were at DisneyLand. When our food came out we couldn't believe the size. It was huge. I love that place!
